Summer reflections, Advertisers role in Meta and a new Alarm Clock

August gave me some beautiful moments with the babies and my wife. Late dinners, sunbathing and new experiences for the babies. As I took some time to reflect, I am thinking, should it be crazy at work?
I am starting to feel that work/life balance is such a wrong approach to life. It should probably be life/work integration. I am reading a bit lately about this concept and I have been influenced a lot by a podcast talk with Kevin Dahlstrom .
Everyone gets so scrambled when thinking about Digital Marketing, especially on Meta. Truth is, the advertisers role is changing with all the developments going on
Last month we presented Hivebreed at a local business magazine. It feels so good to see how the team is evolving over the years and how the initial vision comes together and makes sense as we grow up.
I am drawn to the idea of pre-read pitching. In our line of work there are so many moments where you need to present something to a client. Most of the times, marketing people are looking for the element of surprise. But truth be told, no one wants to be surprised when you are pitching for their money. That’s why I am so much into pre-read pitching. You send your deck to the client the day before, give them the time to study and when you are presenting they are already familiar. They know what’s coming up. They are ready to ask and get their objections answered. Think about it!
Never ever do a SWOT analysis again. Honestly. SWOT had its time in history, but its so overrated. Stregths are overplayed, Weaknesses are underplayed, Opportunites are like a CPT prompt and Threats are most of the times generic. Do a backwards market diagnosis instead. Find the purpose of analysis and hit it to the bone.
I’ve switched from my traditional Iphone alarm clock to a Bedside Lamp. Waking up without that intrusive sound helps me follow a more natural rhythm to start the day.
Have you ever heard about Engagement Pods? It’s an approach towards driving more engagement to your content with a closed network of friends to help the algorithms “push” your posts. Not sure about it. Any thoughts?
